Ground transportation is an essential part of the travel experience.
At Booking.com Click. APAC 2026 in Tokyo, the conversation went far beyond individual rides. It was about how travel platforms, AI, operators, and technology can work together to create a more connected experience from planning and booking through to arrival and fulfillment.
For goodjourney.io, that bigger picture matters. We have spent years building the operational layer that helps local ground transportation companies connect with global demand, manage complex operations, and deliver reliably in the real world.
Click. APAC reinforced something we strongly believe:
the future of travel will be more connected, and ground transportation will be an essential part of making that experience work.
A Proud Moment for BaliCab
One of the highlights of Click. APAC 2026 was seeing BaliCab receive the Partner Spotlight — Rides award.
A huge congratulations to their team. As BaliCab’s technology partner, we’re proud to support their operations behind the scenes and to see their work recognized on the Booking.com stage.
We’re excited about what we’re building next with BaliCab — new technology and capabilities designed to help their business grow, operate more efficiently, and deliver even better journeys for travelers.

A More Connected Passenger Experience
For a passenger arriving in an unfamiliar city, confidence comes from simple things: knowing where to meet, seeing that the driver is on the way, and being able to get in touch when plans change.
Knowing whether the vehicle can accommodate the family, their luggage, or other requirements matters just as much. These details can make the difference between simply completing a ride and delivering an experience the traveler can trust.

Those same needs shaped many of our conversations in Tokyo. From live tracking and passenger-driver communication to richer information around vehicles, luggage, meeting points, waiting time, and trip requirements, the direction is clear: more useful information needs to flow throughout the booking and fulfillment process.
For operators, better data means less manual coordination and fewer misunderstandings. For travelers, it means a smoother and more predictable experience.

Good Journey already supports many of these use cases within our platform, including vehicle requirements, luggage, child seats, waiting time, meeting information, and additional charges.
The next step is deeper integration. By working closely with Booking.com as these capabilities evolve, we can connect richer booking information directly into useful operational workflows.

A detail captured at the time of booking should flow naturally to the team preparing the journey — and ultimately to the driver delivering it.
That is how better connectivity becomes better service.
Connecting the Entire Travel Journey
Another powerful theme at Click. APAC was that travel is becoming less fragmented.
A flight may be booked first, followed by accommodation, ground transportation, attractions, and other services along the way.

For the traveler, these are not separate products. They are all part of one trip.
Increasingly, the technology behind them needs to work together in the same way.
For ground transportation operators, this means understanding more than the ride itself. Flight information, accommodation, pickup details, traveler requirements, and last-minute changes can all affect what happens on the ground.
This is why deeper connectivity between travel platforms and local operators matters.
Global platforms bring together the travel experience. Local operators make a critical part of it happen in the real world.
From Apps to Conversations
AI was another major theme at Click. APAC.
Booking.com shared examples of travelers discovering accommodation through conversational AI experiences such as ChatGPT and Claude — an early look at how travel planning is expanding beyond traditional search and native apps.

Instead of opening several apps and piecing a trip together manually, travelers can describe what they want in a conversation: where they are going, who they are traveling with, what they prefer, where they are staying, and how they want to get around.
Travel planning becomes more personal, more contextual, and much more connected.
For ground transportation, that shift matters.
Airport transfers and rides can increasingly become part of a broader travel experience — connected with flights, accommodation, traveler preferences, and what happens before and after the ride.

The interface may become conversational. But behind every conversation, the journey still has to be fulfilled in the real world.
And that requires strong connections between travel platforms, technology systems, and the local operators actually delivering the service.
An Operating System for Ground Transportation
For a busy operator, keeping all of that information connected can still be difficult.
A reservation arrives through an OTA. Pickup instructions sit in another portal. A driver assignment is shared through a messaging app. Payments and supplier settlements are handled somewhere else again.
When something changes, someone has to carry that information through every part of the operation.
As the business grows, so does the complexity.

This is why we are building Good Journey as a ground transportation operating system.
Bookings, dispatch, drivers, vehicles, suppliers, payments, settlement, and global distribution should not operate as disconnected systems. They should work together.
Our goal is to give limo, chauffeur, and airport-transfer operators one operational foundation that helps them manage their business while connecting to global travel demand.
Technology should not replace what makes local operators valuable.
It should strengthen it.
Local knowledge. Reliable service. Trusted drivers. Strong relationships with customers and partners.
Those things still matter. The opportunity is to give operators the infrastructure to deliver them at a much larger scale.
Connecting in Tokyo
Click. APAC was also about the people behind the technology.
We had the opportunity to reconnect with the Booking.com Rides team, meet partners and operators from across the region, and exchange ideas about where ground transportation is heading next.

What Comes Next
We returned from Tokyo with a clear priority: keep investing in the integrations, operational tools, and supplier connectivity that help local operators compete and grow.

Our thanks to the Booking.com team for the invitation and warm hospitality, and to the partners and operators who shared their experiences, challenges, and ideas with us.
The way people discover and book travel is changing. The systems behind those journeys must evolve with it.
Global demand. Local fulfillment.
GoodJourney is building the technology that connects the two.
If you run a limo, chauffeur, or airport-transfer business and want to connect your bookings, operations, and global distribution.
